1. Installed 575 domestic waste treatment plants in one Grama Panchayat
In the Vizhinjam Grama Panchayat, where, Kovalam, the famous tourist resort is situated,
as many as 575 household waste treatment biogas plants have been installed for management of waste and production
of cooking gas. By the operation of all these plants it could be possible to treat a large quantity of about 1 ½
tons of biowaste and about 15,000 litres of waste water on every day and to produce cooking gas required for all the 575

2. The first waste treatment and electricity generation plant in Kerala.
BIOTECH is the only organization which had designed and developed an electricity generation plant for the first time, by the treatment of wastes, generated in the vegetable and fish markets in the state. Such a plant which was installed in the Pathanapuram Panchayat market in Kollam District is still working in a very efficient manner even after completion of five years since its installation

3. Installation of 650 household waste treatment plants and
150 ecofriendly toilets in a single island in Kerala.
The Kumbalangi Grama Panchayat in Ernakulam District is acclaimed to be the first tourist village in India. Several tourists are visiting this island village on each day. As a first step for maintaining cleanliness, and for preserving the beauty of this island by solving the waste management problems, about 650 household waste treatment plants had been installed in this area. It could be possible to replace 150 numbers of hanging toilets which were set up over water, by the installation of ecofriendly toilet linked biogas plants. By this process a clean and unpolluted environment could be provided to the villagers of the island. It could also be possible to create an awareness among them for maintaining, the atmosphere, clean and unpolluted and production of sufficient quantity of bioenergy for cooking proposes as well
